Adding eBook Files to Your Device

You’re here because you’ve just downloaded one of my books, but you’re unsure how to get it onto your favorite reading device or app.

Don’t worry. I’m here to walk you through it.

In just a couple minutes, you’ll be reading your book!

Do You Have the Correct Format?

Before you move the ebook file that you downloaded from me, you’ll want to make sure you have the correct format.

If you’d like to read the ebook on your Kindle eReader or Kindle App, you’ll need to download the mobi version.

If you’d like to read the book elsewhere (Kobo, iBooks, Nook), you’ll need to download the epub version.

If you have the wrong version, go back and download the correct version before proceeding.

Kindle eReader and Kindle App

To Read on Your Desktop or Laptop Computer:

1. Click here to download the Kindle App

2. Open the ebook file you downloaded from me (it’ll be a .mobi file) and the ebook will automatically load within the Kindle App.

3. Enjoy!

To Read on Your Kindle eReader or Kindle App:

1. Download the “Send To Kindle” App. Click here for PC or Click here for Mac.

2. After installing “Send To Kindle” on your computer, you can easily drag and drop files you’d like to appear on your Kindle eReader or Kindle App.

3. Enjoy!

Alternatively, if you’d like to upload your file to your Kindle eReader via USB:

1. Connect your Kindle eReader to your computer using the USB cable that came included with your device when your bought it.

2. Locate the “Kindle” folder that has temporarily appeared using your file explorer program, and open it. Within that folder, locate the “Documents” folder and open it.

3. Locate the folder where you downloaded the ebook file that you got from me.

4. Drag and drop the downloaded ebook into your Kindle eReader’s “Documents” folder.

5. After it completes transferring, eject your Kindle eReader, then disconnect it from the computer (You may need to boot or reboot your Kindle eReader before it shows up).

6. Enjoy!

Apple iBooks

The easiest way to add an ePub or PDF to your iBooks library is to use iTunes.

To Read on iBooks:

1. Open iTunes.

2. From the “File” drop list in the menu bar, click on “Add to Library…” or press Command+O.

3. A window will open where you’ll need to locate the ebook file that you downloaded from me. Once you locate it, open it.

4. The file will be added to your iBooks Library. You may need to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod in order to read the ebook.

5. Enjoy!

Kobo eReader or App

Kobo seems to be the only company who actually supplies a great tutorial. I could repeat it here, but you will probably want to hear it directly from them. It’s very well explained and easy to follow.

Click here to follow Kobo’s tutorial.

Nook eReader or App

Nook works much like Kindle eReader via USB.

To Read on Nook eReader:

1. Connect your Nook eReader to your computer using the USB cable that came included with your device when you bought it.

2. Your Nook eReader will appear on your computer as a removable drive. Open it and find the folder you’d like the ebook file to go to (I suggest the “Documents” folder).

3. Locate the folder where you downloaded the ebook file that you got from me.

4. Drag and drop the downloaded ebook into the folder you selected on your Nook eReader.

5. After it completes transferring, eject your Nook eReader, then disconnect it from the computer (You may need to boot or reboot your Nook eReader before it shows up).

6. Enjoy!
